Let’s talk about something that tends to freak everyone out: what to wear for a brand session.
If you’ve ever thought about booking one but stopped because figuring out what to wear felt overwhelming, you’re not alone. Trust me—every single client I’ve worked with has expressed some level of concern about their outfits. It’s normal.
But here’s the thing: it shouldn’t stop you from doing something amazing for your business.
I’ve been through several of my own brand sessions, and after trying all kinds of looks, I’ve noticed one thing:
There’s always one outfit that ends up being my favorite. Every. Single. Time.
Ready for it?
It’s jeans and a T-shirt. 🤪
Now, before you side-eye me and think, “That’s way too casual for a brand session,” hear me out.
Maybe jeans and a T-shirt work for your session too, or maybe it’s something else entirely. The key is to choose something that feels most like YOU.
For example:
Whatever it is, it should feel like you’re showing up as your most authentic self.
Don’t get me wrong—I also love the outfits that make me feel like a total BAMF. Those looks communicate the bolder, thought-leader side of my brand, which is so important.
But here’s the trick: include one outfit in your session that feels like home. The outfit that feels the most comfortable, authentic, and “you.”
Trust me, those will be the photos you love the most.
